I purchased this stand for a TV and dish receiver. As nothing can be placed on top of the receiver, this stand works perfect to keep the TV off of the receiver. The stand is just wide enough to fit over the receiver and would also accommodate a VCR as well. We are very happy with this product.

The other reviewer with the dish receiver is exactly right - a Tivo box fits exactly underneath this stand so that my DVD player isn't sitting on top of it. It's perfect.

I use this as a TV stand on my dresser and it works perfectly. Its sturdy and I put my cable box underneath it. Could not be happier with purchase

I had been looking for this product and the only other one similar to this one was like fifty bucks or something outrageous like that. It fits perfectly over my dvr. Thamks a bunch. I highly recommend this product.
