5 out of 5 stars Lemmings lover   August 15, 2009
Juliet M. Hinnenberg (Westwood, CA)
I was a player of the original Lemmings that we loaded from a dos prompt. I used to love the litttle critters. However, my old disks do not work with the Windows systems and the newer machines no longer take the old floppies. Then I went looking for newer versions of the game and came across "Lemmings Revolution". It is everything I was looking for. So far I am enjoying every moment of play. However, I have not gotten too far into the game yet.

5 out of 5 stars Back to Lemmings   September 8, 2009

If I didn't know this game was used, I would not have known. Lemmings took my, now adult kids, back to a fun age with no responsibilities...LOL. Thank you, the game is perfect..

The first time I played this game was the first release I thought it's a unique game original. After a few years they release this version which was a big upgrade newer thing added. I am very found with game I wish there were going to be a new version for it.

Ever played one of those games that you think, wow, even if it's about a decade old, it's still a solid game? Lemmings: Revolution is such a game. Even though its graphics are incredibly dated--the lemmings are drawn in pixels, not polygons--the gameplay is basically the exact same as the original Lemmings from way back when, and the sound effects seem downright childish at times, this game still has a power to suck you in and not let you go until you finally solve that friggin' puzzle. And then it's off to the next puzzle for you!

Believe me, you are gonna have to be on your toes to solve these puzzles. That goes especially true for the ones later in the game, some of which are real hair-raisers. But that's really what this game is all about: using the limited tools you have available to solve any problem the game throws your way. All of the levels are solvable, but it's going to be tough to keep that in mind at times! Honestly, this is about as intense of an intellectual game you'll find that isn't an actual math/English/history tutorial DVD. Though it may sounds as if this would scare moset people away, this is actually the very attribute that keeps drawing you in, instilling that "Just one more level!" attitude. If you're looking for something to mindlessly churn through, avoid this game like the plague, because that's exactly what Lemmings: Revolution is not.

(FYI, for those who can't get the game to run, you have to run it in Administrator mode. I have no clue why, but that has to be done.)

4 out of 5 stars More Lemmings!!!   October 23, 2008

I thought the original Lemmings was hard until I played Lemmings Revolution. The specifications state for Windows 98. I am running Windows XP and have not had any problems.
